Kelsey Bibik

Atlanta Vibe Pro Volleyball Director of Public Relations, Branding and Social Media

The Atlanta Vibe (16-4) defeated the Grand Rapids Rise (8-9) Tuesday night at Gas South Arena, the team’s record-setting seventh-straight win.

Recently clinching a bid to the 2024 Pro Volleyball Federation postseason, the Vibe are still rolling and continue to occupy the top spot in the league standings.

Atlanta’s defense pressed throughout the match, finishing with 15 total blocks and 37 block touches – double the Rise’s – and 78 digs. Middle blocker Magdalena Jehlářová led the team with six blocks, while opposite Grace Cleveland came in to put up five. On the floor, four players tallied double-digit digs – libero Morgan Hentz and setter Marlie Monserez had 20, outside hitter Leah Edmond had 19, and outside hitter Alli Linnehan finished with 14.

Cleveland came back into the lineup and tied her season-high record with 11 kills; Edmond and Linnehan were offensive forces tonight as well, finishing with 19 and 10 kills, respectively.

Atlanta fell in the first set but won the next three with wicked defense, extending rallies with a season-best 21.8 digs per set.

The Vibe now head out on a two-match road trip to face the Columbus Fury and the Orlando Valkyries, and then return home to host the Vegas Thrill on Sunday, April 28 at 2:00 p.m. ET for the team’s Faith and Family Day match. Tickets for that match and all remaining Vibe matches are available at AtlantaVibe.com.
