Warmer weather means outdoor lovers will be taking to the trails

Western North Carolina is home to some of the most beautiful hiking trails in the country. The area is known for its stunning mountain ranges, lush forests, and cascading waterfalls.

One popular trail is the hike to the summit of Mount Mitchell, the highest peak in the eastern United States. The trail is 6.6 miles round trip and offers breathtaking views from the top.

Another must-see hike is the Linville Gorge Trail, which takes you through the Linville Gorge Wilderness Area. The trail is 12 miles round trip and offers stunning views of the Linville River and the surrounding mountains.
