Huntington, Ala. – Western Carolina women’s tennis earned its 10th win of the season with a 4-0 victory at Alabama A&M Sunday as the two team’s played to clinch the match.
TURNING POINT:
Western Carolina won the doubles point winning at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles and picked up victories at No. 2, No. 4, and No. 6 singles.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
Sophomore Kata Foldeak and Angela Perez paired up for the first time this season, at No. 2 doubles, winning 6-1.
The duo of Jordyn King and Luzia Obermeier also got a win at No. 3 doubles, 6-4, to clinch the doubles point.
It was all even wins in singles as WCU got wins at No. 2, No. 4, and No. 6 singles.
Antonella Benavides’ 6-4, 6-2 win at No. 4 singles sealed the win.
NOTES:
Foldeak earned her 10th win at doubles.
Benavides won her seventh singles match of the season.
Western Carolina is 6-4 on the road this season.
