Yellow Jackets Come Up Short In Cherokee


In a Smoky Mountain Conference showdown held on Friday, February 2, the Hayesville Yellow Jackets clashed with the Cherokee Braves in Cherokee, resulting in a decisive 85-62 victory for the Braves. The game showcased a high-scoring affair, with Cherokee emerging triumphant over the Yellow Jackets.


Following the outcome, Hayesville's overall record now stands at 11-10 as they enter the homestretch of the regular season. Despite the loss, standout performances were delivered by key players from the Yellow Jackets. Slade Crouch led the scoring charts with an impressive 19 points, supported by Jacob McClure contributing 14 points and Landon Hughes with a solid 9 points.



Looking ahead, Hayesville is gearing up for their next challenge as they head back to The Hive for a home game on Tuesday, February 6, hosting Robbinsville.
