Yellow Jackets End Regular Season With Home Victory over Andrews

On Friday, Oct. 27, the varsity Yellow Jacket football team took the field at Frank R. Long to end the regular season by facing off with Smoky Mountain Conference foe, Andrews. The Jackets entered the game favored to win and didn't disappoint, winning 14-6.

First quarter highlights

First play from scrimmage, Jacob Jones recovers an Andrews fumble.

Tate Roberts hits Seth Leek for a 6-yard touchdown on 4th and 1 with 9:23 left in the quarter.

McClure snuffs out a fake punt, giving Hayesville the possession with 3:25 in the quarter.

Tre Graves snags an interception and runs it 37 yards for a Yellow Jacket touchdown with 6.2 seconds left in the half.

Andrews' onside kick attempt was recovered by the Yellow Jackets to start to the quarter.

Andrews scores a touchdown with 3:58 left in the half.

Fourth quarter highlights

Lane O'Dell busts through for a sack on the Wildcat quarterback for a 5 yard loss.

Tre Graves breaks up a fourth-down pass attempt to give Hayesville the ball with 57.5 seconds left in the game.

Hayesville picks up the 14-6 victory.

The Yellow Jackets will now prepare for the first round of the state playoffs.
