Yellow Jackets Keep Stranglehold On Conference With Win Over Robbinsville

On Monday, April 22, the Hayesville Yellow Jackets started their week off with an 11-1 victory at home over the Robbinsville Black Knights. Robbinsville took a 1-run lead in the top of the first inning, but the Jackets quickly took over on their way to another run-rule win in six innings.

Cade Caruso: 2-4, 3 RBI, 2 doubles, 1 run scored

Michael Mauney: 3-4, 2 RBI, 2 runs scored, 3 stolen bases

Payton McGaha: 3-4, 1 RBI, double, 1 run scored, 3 stolen bases

Jackson Sellers: 5 innings pitched, 0 earned runs, 2 walks, 6 strikeouts

With the win, the Yellow Jackets improve to 13-2 overall and 10-0 in the Smoky Mountain Conference. Hayesville returns to their home field on Thursday, April 25th for a faceoff with Andrews. First pitch is scheduled for 4:30 p.m.
