Yellow Jackets Roll To Third Win
On Friday, Sept.1, the varsity football team from Haysville High School crossed the border on their way to Sugar Hill, GA to take on Georgia Force Christian Academy. The Jackets got on the board early and never looked back, cruising to their third win of the season, 49-27.

Senior running back Taylor McClure pounded in the first score of the game with a 1-yard touchdown run. Seth Leek added to the fun with a 53-yard score along with sophomore standout Tre Graves adding to his touchdown total. Michael Mauney went more than 40 yards for a score and McClure bookended the first half with his second touchdown of the game. Isaac Chandler, to the surprise of no one, was perfect on PATs. The Blue Knights were able to put points on the board, but Hayesville went into halftime up 35-14.
In the second half, Graves added his second touchdown of the night late in the third quarter. The fourth quarter was highlighted by a touchdown from sophomore Cole Vining. Chandler did his part with a pair of kicks through the uprights. Georgia Force added 10 points in the third and 3 in the fourth, but it wasn't enough. The 49-27 victory keeps Hayesville undefeated as they head into their first home game of the season on Friday, Sept. 8 against Pisgah. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
