YHC Begins Season with Win Over Union University

The Mountain Lions won game 1 of their season opener 5-2 over the Union University Bulldogs on Friday (Feb 2nd) afternoon. Jackson Kemp and Jack Enrico came up big for the Young Harris offense, each with a home run on their way to victory.

The Mountain Lions start off 1-0 while the Bulldogs fall to 0-1 to open the season. YHC returns to the Zell B. Miller Field to take on the Bulldogs in a double-header tomorrow (Feb 3rd) in games 2 and 3 of the series. The Mountain Lions will play at 1PM and 4PM.


  • Zach Murray started for YHC; he picked up 5 strikeouts and only allowed 1 run.

  • Jackson Kemp hit a home run during his first at-bat of the day, going 2-3 at the plate.

  • In a pinch-hit at bat, Jack Enrico hit a 2-run home run to give the Mountain Lions a 5-2 lead.

  • Grant Ross went 3-4 and tied up the game in the 2nd inning with an RBI double to left field.

  • In the 6th inning, Mitch Sisk homered to left center field.
