YHC Volleyball reveals 2023 schedule

Young Harris College volleyball coach Jenny Michael has released the 2023 volleyball schedule for the Mountain Lions.

"I believe there's a sense of excitement in the air surrounding our program and this upcoming fall," said Michael. "This is in part due to anticipation of new opponents as we enter Conference Carolinas and by seeing significant improvement through spring training as our student-athletes showed incredible commitment toward becoming the best versions of themselves individually as well as a family. Everyone in and close to the program is ready to see that dedication pay off."

INSIDE THE SCHEDULE:

• The Mountain Lions have 26 matches slated for the 2023 campaign, including nine inside the Harp Recreation and Commencement Center.

• The 2023 schedule features 10 matches against first-time opponents for the Mountain Lions.

• YHC opens its campaign with two in-season tournaments. The Mountain Lions will compete in the Bobcat Classic in Milledgeville, Georgia, Sept. 1-2, and he Blazer Volleyball Fall Tournament in Valdosta, Georgia, Sept. 8-9.

• The Mountain Lions will open their home portion of the schedule Sept. 12 when they host Lee University at 6 p.m.

• YHC will begin competing in Conference Carolinas this fall after spending the past three season in the Peach Belt Conference. The conference schedule features 17 league matches with YHC opening its inaugural campaign in Conference Carolinas at home Sept. 15 against Converse University at 6 p.m.
