Young Harris in 13th place after opening day of Mizuno Intercollegiate
The Young Harris College men's golf team is in 13th place after 36 holes of the Mizuno Intercollegiate hosted by the University of North Georgia Monday (Sept. 19).
The Mountain Lions shot 303 in the morning round and shaved 15 strokes off in their afternoon for an even par 288 on the par 72, 7,166-yard layout at the Chattahoochee Golf Club and stand at 591 after two rounds.
INSIDE THE ROPES:
Laurens Schulze-Doering is the top Mountain Lion golfer at one-under par 143 and is tied for 11th place. Schulze-Doering carded an ever-par 72 in the morning and post a one-under par 71 in the afternoon.
Will Ranieri is tied for 39th place at 147. The sophomore signed for a 77 on the opening loop and fired a career-low round of two-under par 70 in the second trip around the course. Ranieri's previous best low was 73.
Parker Middleton had rounds of 78 and 72 and is tied for 70th place at 150, while Isak Ljungkvist is tied for 83rd at 151 after scores of 76 and 75. Ruben Lindstrom posted scorecards of 78 and 79 and is tied for 88th place with a 157 tally.
The 54-hole tournament concludes Tuesday (Sept. 20) with a 9 a.m. shotgun start.
