Young Harris soars past Eagles 5-2

The Young Harris College women's tennis team earned a 5-2 non-conference victory over Carson-Newman University Sunday (Feb. 19) afternoon at the Bob & Gayle Nichols Tennis Complex.

The Mountain Lions improved to 3-5, while the Eagles fell to 0-3. Young Harris hosts Texas A & M University - Kingsville Thursday (Feb. 23) at 3 p.m.

INSIDE THE SCORESHEET:

• The Mountain Lions claimed the doubles point after Joselyne Chapui and Louise Ratiu teamed up for 7-6 (4) victory at No. 2.

• Chapui, Emily Bush, and Meghna Mallath won their respective singles matches in straight sets.
