Young Harris Takes Down MHU with a Steady Offensive Attack, 13-10

Mars Hill, N.C.| The Mountain Lions took on the Lions from Mars Hill University on Wednesday (Feb. 14) afternoon. Young Harris scored three or more goals in each period to eventually win by three. The Lions got the game within one score, late in the fourth period, but the Mountain Lions retaliated and put up two goals in less than a minute to win their second game in a row.  

Young Harris improved to 2-1 overall this season, as Mars Hill dropped to 1-2. The Mountain Lions hit the road this weekend to play on Sunday at 3 p.m., where they face off against The University of Alabama in Huntsville. 


  • David Traywick led YHC in points, scoring three times and adding three assists. 

  • Hunter Stagg, Grady Stokes, and Dylan Young each scored two goals for the Mountain Lions. 

  • Mars Hill University's leading scorer was Cole Ross, who netted three goals. 

  • Dylan Wilbur recorded six saves for YHC. 

  • The Mountain Lions posted 25 shots on goal compared to the Lions 16 SOG.
