Young Harris Wins Thrilling Overtime Game Against North Greenville, 77-74

The Mountain Lions were victorious when all was said and done on Wednesday Evening at the Harp Recreation and Commencement Center. A nail biting 2nd half ended in a 68-68 tie, but Young Harris came out on top in overtime thanks to a huge game from Karl Chavis and company. 

The Mountain Lions improved to 10-7 on the season and 5-3 in Conference Carolina's play. North Greenville falls to 5-9. The Mountain Lions return to action on Saturday to face Chowan University in Murfreesboro, N.C. at 4 PM. 


  • Karl Chavis scored 23 points, grabbed two boards, and dished out two assists. 

  • Carl Cleveland scored 20 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for another double-double on the season. 

  • Babatunde Ajike led the Crusaders in points with 18, whilst also adding 11 rebounds. 

  • YHC outshot NGU 48.2% to 36.9% from the field. 

  • Young Harris scored 16 points off turnovers compared to North Greenville's eight.
