The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office is inviting families to enjoy a day of outdoor fun at the upcoming Kid’s Fishing Day on Saturday, May 31. The event will take place rain or shine at the Sheriff’s Office Firing Range located at 9554 US 19 in Marble, North Carolina.

Fishing kicks off at 9:00 a.m. and continues “’til the fish stop biting,” with registration beginning at 8:30 a.m. Participants are advised that the start time may be delayed in the event of heavy rain or storms.

Young anglers are encouraged to bring their own fishing poles, but G&S Bait will be providing free worms and donating several Zebco poles for the occasion.

The event promises to be a memorable experience for kids and families alike. For questions or additional details, contact Stephanie Swanson at 837-2589.
