Mrs. Michelle Calascione, Special Education Teacher at Hayesville Primary School, on completing her National Board Certification in Young Adulthood-Mild/Moderate Disabilities.


Mrs. Calascione joined Clay County Schools in October 2018, beginning her career as a Special Education Teacher Assistant. Her passion for supporting students with disabilities quickly became evident. While serving as an assistant, she pursued her teaching degree and license, fulfilling her goal of becoming a teacher. In August 2021, she stepped into her current role as a Special Education Teacher at Hayesville Primary School.


This prestigious certification reflects Mrs. Calascione’s dedication to her students and her commitment to excellence in education. It is a significant achievement that highlights her skills and the positive impact she has on the school community.
