The Clay County Republican Party will hold its monthly meeting on Thursday,
June 19th, at 6:30 PM, at the Clay County Community Center, in the 2nd Floor meeting room,
at 25 Riverside Drive, Hayesville, NC.

All registered Republicans and Independents are invited to join us for light refreshments, snacks, and desserts at 6:30 PM, with the business meeting starting at 7:00 PM (please bring a covered dish snack or dessert to share).
Our Guest Speaker will be Dr. Kirk Shook, Executive Director of the Georgia Nonpublic
Postsecondary Education Commission, which oversees and regulates the operations of in-state nonpublic and out-of-state postsecondary institutions operating or offering post-high school instruction in Georgia, including proprietary schools such as DeVry University.
Dr. Shook is a graduate of Hayesville High School, and holds Bachelors, Masters, and
Doctoral degrees from the University of Georgia. He is an education professional and also
former Secretary of the Georgia Republican Party. In addition to speaking on his experience
in Georgia Republican Politics, including being a Member of the Georgia Electoral College,
and Delegate to the Republican National Convention, he will offer his professional insights on
the likely consequences of abolishment of the US Department of Education, as proposed by
the Trump Administration.
