First Responders Appreciation Day Set for June 28th at Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds

TOWNS COUNTY, GA – The community is gearing up to honor its first responders with a special event, "First Responders Appreciation Day," scheduled for Saturday, June 28th, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds. This rain-or-shine celebration offers free admission to all attendees, making it a family-friendly opportunity to show gratitude to local heroes.
The event will feature a variety of entertainment and activities, headlined by special guest stars "Elvis" Roy Perren and Santa Claus. Local live bands, including Switchback, Quick Brown Fox, and Struck by Lightning, will provide musical performances throughout the day. Attendees can also enjoy a unique law enforcement vs. fire fighters showdown, featuring guns & hoses, kickball, and a tournament.
For an additional $5, an optional wristband grants access to unlimited kids’ games, a dunk tank, and BB gun shoot. Additional highlights include food and craft vendors, classic cars, kids’ games, face painting, bounce houses, dunk tank, fire safety training classes, bounce house, "Dunk Daddy Dunk Tank," drone demos, and a host of other great activities designed for the whole family.
