UNION COUNTY, GA — A joint effort between the Fannin County Sheriff’s Office and the Union County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division has led to the arrest of five individuals connected to the possession and trafficking of illegal narcotics, according to a press release issued on July 2, 2025.
The investigation began with a traffic stop on June 20 in Fannin County, Georgia. Deputies seized approximately 81 grams of methamphetamine, 7 grams of fentanyl, and 3.5 grams of cocaine during the stop. As a result, Rebecca Miggins and Shannon Stallone were arrested and charged with multiple counts related to the trafficking of controlled substances.
Investigators had previously identified Stallone as being involved in the sale of illegal drugs.
A separate traffic stop on June 3 on Loving Road in Union County resulted in the arrest of Amanda Kwiatkowski for possession of fentanyl and cocaine. Authorities confirmed that Miggins, Stallone, and Kwiatkowski live at the same residence and are known associates.
In a related development, a search warrant executed in early May near the Fannin/Union County line led to the arrests of David Newton and Rebecca Peeler. Investigators determined both individuals were distributing controlled substances in both counties. Newton and Peeler now face charges of possession and sale of controlled substances.
Officials say the arrests are a result of coordinated efforts between the two counties and serve as a reminder that drug activity often crosses jurisdictional boundaries. “Strong interagency collaboration between Fannin and Union County law enforcement continues to be a key factor in combatting drug-related crimes and keeping our communities safe,” the release states.
