Folk School Kicks Off Summer with a Vibrant Week of Community Events

The John C. Campbell Folk School is ushering in summer with a lively lineup of music, movement, and community gatherings from June 23 to June 29, offering something for everyone to enjoy.


The week begins on Monday, June 23, with a captivating concert by Sara Grey at 7 PM, setting the tone for a week of cultural celebration. On Tuesday, June 24, residents can unwind with Community Yoga at 4:45 PM, followed by an OPEN HOUSE Community Tuesday featuring a Dance & Social with Paddy's Return and Annie Fain calling from 7 to 8 PM.


Wednesday, June 25, starts with the serene Morningsong at 7:45 AM, inviting early risers to connect through music. On Thursday, June 26, Tai Chi Gung at 4:45 PM offers a calming practice, followed by a lively Community Jam at The Crown from 7 to 9 PM, where musicians of all levels can join in.


Friday, June 27, brings another Morningsong with Sara Grey at 8:30 AM, followed by a Craft Social at 7 PM for those eager to share their creative projects. The weekend kicks off with a Yard Sale on Saturday, June 28, from 8 AM to 1 PM, perfect for treasure hunters. The week wraps up on Sunday, June 29, with Sunday Afternoon Tunes from 2 to 5 PM, offering a relaxed way to enjoy live music and community vibes.
