University of Georgia freshman infielder Paislie Allen competed with the U.S. U-18 Women’s National Team at the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) U-18 World Cuper Group C Stage Event over the weekend in Dallas. The US punched its ticket to the 2025 WBSC World Cup Finals with Allen posting a tournament-best nine RBI.
Allen, who hails from Lewisville, Texas, is a freshman infielder on the Georgia softball team this year. She concluded the tournament with five hits (.417 average), nine RBI, three doubles, a home run, slugged .833, and drew a walk. She appeared in all six games, starting five. She made three starts at shortstop and two in right field.
Allen helped propel a US offense that outscored opponents 63-1 in six games. She co-led the tournament with nine RBI.
In the opening game against Ireland, Allen came off the bench and knocked a two-run double in her first at-bat of the tournament. She went 2-for-2 with two RBI and another double against Australia with another two-RBI double against Canada on day two. She blasted a three-run home run on Saturday in a 15-0 rout of Mexico.
Georgia great Alisa Goler in an assistant coach for the U-18 team. Goler is currently the head coach at Western Illinois.
