The Hiawassee Downtown Development Authority and the City of Hiawassee proudly present Gnarly Fingers for a free concert at Music on The Square this Saturday, June 14, from 6:30 to 8:00 PM at Hiawassee Town Square Park on Main Street. Donations are appreciated to support this beloved community event, now in its 26th year.

Gnarly Fingers, a four-piece band from Hayesville, NC, and Hiawassee, GA, will bring their signature “eclectic acoustic” sound to the stage. Known for their three- and four-part harmonies, the band covers iconic artists like The Eagles, John Prine, The Band, and The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, alongside their original music. Formed in 2005, Gnarly Fingers features original members Pat List (rhythm guitar, harmonica), Keith Layton (lead guitar), and Tom Edwards (mandolin, banjo), joined by Brian Kruger (bass, keyboard, slide guitar). Celebrating their 20th year in 2025, the band is renowned for high-energy performances that spark spontaneous dancing and always close with their trademark song, “Will The Circle Be Unbroken.”

This family-friendly event invites attendees to bring blankets or chairs for a night of great music. Well-behaved pets are welcome, provided owners clean up after them. Starting at 6:00 PM, the VFW Auxiliary Food Truck will serve grilled hot dogs and more. In case of rain at concert time, the event will be canceled.

The Hiawassee Downtown Development Authority extends gratitude to sponsors, including the City of Hiawassee, Banister-Cooper Funeral Home, Barrett Insurance, Service Master Restoration, and Hiawassee Package Store, for making this free concert series possible.

Join the community for an evening of music, fun, and togetherness at Hiawassee Town Square Park!
