Gregg Erwin and 200 Proof Kick Off Hayesville’s Concert Season with Outlaw Country Flair

The Clay County Communities Revitalization Association is thrilled to launch its concert season with a high-energy performance by Gregg Erwin and his band, 200 Proof, on Friday, May 23 at 25 Herbert Street in Hayesville. The two-hour event, open to the public, promises an evening of authentic outlaw country music, delicious food, and community spirit.

Gregg Erwin, a proud son of the Blue Ridge Mountains, brings a lifetime of musical passion to the stage. Born in the foothills and raised along the Chattahoochee River, Gregg’s journey began at age eight, singing for church audiences across North Georgia. Years later, he taught himself guitar by ear, channeling influences from country legends like Merle Haggard, George Jones, Hank Williams, and Waylon Jennings. The lyrical depth of Keith Whitley inspired Gregg to pen his own songs, earning him the “Outlaw Country” label. With his debut album 200 Proof, Gregg has toured the Southeast, captivating fans with a mix of classic covers and original tracks performed in both acoustic and full-band sets.

Attendees can arrive early at 6 p.m. to enjoy food and beverages from local favorites, including Hayesville Q, Pick-A-Nick Basket, American Legion Auxiliary Nocturnal, Shooting Creek Vines, and Sunny Sips.
