Hayesville Gears Up for 4th of July Parade, Freedom Festival and Fireworks

Hayesville, NC – The community is set to celebrate Independence Day with the annual 4th of July Parade and Freedom Festival, taking place on Friday, July 4th, on the square in Hayesville. The event, themed "Let Freedom Ring," promises a day filled with patriotism, food, music, and games from 9 AM to 1 PM.
The parade will kick off at 10 AM, featuring a variety of floats competing for awards in three categories: Most Patriotic, Most Original, and Most Interactive. All floats are required to include an American flag, adding to the festive spirit. Float and vendor forms are available at the Chamber of Commerce or online at www.claychambernc.com.
The day will conclude with a fireworks show originating from the Clay County Rec Park at Lake Chatuge. The show is scheduled to begin at 9:45 p.m. and is presented by the Clay County Government.
