Hiawassee Police Chief Jeremy Parker Resigns

During Monday’s city work session, Hiawassee Police Chief Jeremy Parker publicly announced his resignation, effective May 25, 2025. Appointed in January 2023, Parker offered no explanation for his decision and noted he would share further comments in his final week.

Parker expressed appreciation, stating, “It’s been a pleasure serving the city of Hiawassee.”
