Towns and Clay County Sheriffs Collaborate to Enhance Community Safety

On Wednesday, May 7, 2025, Towns County Sheriff Ken Henderson and Chief Deputy Gene Moss met with Clay County Sheriff Mark Buchanan, Chief Deputy Todd Wingate, and Lieutenant Bruce Moore for a productive luncheon meeting to strengthen inter-agency cooperation.

The sheriffs discussed critical topics, including exchanging intelligence on criminal activity and drug interdiction, community relations strategies, hiring and retaining deputies, and sharing innovative solutions to common challenges.

Sheriff Henderson expressed satisfaction with the meeting’s outcomes, emphasizing the value of coordinated efforts between the Towns and Clay County Sheriff’s Offices.

Both agencies reaffirmed their commitment to keeping their communities safe through continued collaboration.
