Towns County Schools have launched a series of summer improvement projects across their facilities, ensuring upgrades that will benefit students and staff in the upcoming school year.

At Towns County Elementary School (TCES), demolition of the existing floors is currently underway, making way for the installation of new flooring throughout the building. This renovation aims to enhance the learning environment for the school’s youngest students.

Meanwhile, Towns County High School (TCHS) and Towns County Middle School (TCMS) are scheduled for hallway tile removal and replacement with new flooring in July 2025. The TCHS Big Gym will also see a significant upgrade with the installation of a new air conditioning system during the same month, addressing a long-standing need for improved climate control in the space.

Additionally, a new FFA animal barn is set to be constructed this summer on the property behind the TCHS baseball field. This facility will support the school’s Future Farmers of America program, providing students with hands-on agricultural learning opportunities.

These projects are funded through the Education Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (ESPLOST), reflecting the community’s investment in the future of its schools. Towns County Schools are making efficient use of these funds to ensure safer, more modern facilities for students and staff.
