Union County Fire Department Shines at Charity Softball Tournament

UNION COUNTY – The Union County Fire Department (UCFD) participated in a charity softball tournament on Saturday, raising funds for Nicole Schuknecht. The event, marked by competitive spirit and community support, featured a standout opening game where UCFD triumphed over the Union County Sheriff’s Office with a decisive 27-1 victory.

Despite the early win, UCFD faced tough competition throughout the day, securing several victories but also experiencing a few losses against skilled teams. The tournament continued late into the night, though UCFD withdrew when storms rolled through the area. Other teams persevered, completing the event under challenging conditions.

The UCFD expressed gratitude for the players and fundraising team, whose efforts made the event a success. The tournament highlighted the department’s commitment to community causes and camaraderie, leaving a lasting impact on all involved.
