WCU Women’s Golf Returns to Action at Tot Hill Farm Invitational

Western Carolina women’s golf returns to competition on Monday looking to build upon its sixth-place showing at the Green Wave Invitational in New Orleans, La., earlier this month as the Catamount scoring five travels to the Tot Hill Farm Invitational in Asheboro, N.C.

Competition at the par-72, 6,023-yard Tot Hill Farm Golf Club opens on Monday morning with 36 continuous holes followed by the third and final round on Tuesday. Live scoring powered by Clippd is available online through a link at CatamountSports.com.

In addition to the Catamounts and the host Cougars, the 11-team field includes golfers from Appalachian State, Coastal Carolina, East Carolina, Elon, Gardner-Webb, Marshall, Presbyterian, Queens, and USC Upstate.

Leading Western Carolina’s scoring five is senior Elizabeth Lohbauer (77.40), the Catamounts’ top returner from a season ago. She is flanked by a pair of freshmen Madison Lehr and Ella Kozak, both of whom are tied for the team lead this season to date with matching stroke averages of 76.80. Kozak paced WCU at the Green Wave Invite in a tie for 18th with Lehr finishing as WCU’s second-best finisher in a tie for 23rd.

Rounding out WCU’s lineup this week is junior Sadler Miller (79.60) and a third freshman in the No. 5 seed in Annalee Caveney (78.20).
