The Mountain Lions men's golf team finished in 7th place on Tuesday (Sept. 24) evening at the King University Invitational. Ruben Lindstrom had the Mountain Lions best placement, coming in 12th of 66. King University and Tusculum tied for first place, shooting nine under par.

QUOTE FROM HEAD COACH JOHN LICHTENWALNER: "Both positives and negatives this week. It was great to enter the final round of a tournament with a legitimate chance to win. Our players do not have much experience in that position. Unfortunately, everyone struggled today, and we will have a few days of practice before we travel again this upcoming Sunday.

INSIDE THE SCORECARD:

  • The Mountain Lions shot 10 over par as a team in two rounds (-3 and +13).

  • Lindstrom shot two under par in round one (68) and one over par in round 2 (71).

  • Freshman Adrian Ronn recorded the 2nd best finish for YHC, coming in 16th place in his first collegiate appearance.

  • Ronn finished even on the day, shooting three under par (67) in round one, and three over par (73) in round two.

  • Will Ranieri had the Mountain Lions next best placement, coming in 28th place; in round one, Ranieri shot two under par (68) and four over par in round two (74).
